Mike Sherman had a glittering 25-25 record in his four seasons as head coach at Texas A&M, including a pair of memorable losses in the Independence Bowl and Cotton Bowl. Coach Sherman may not have been a brilliant X & O guy - he had Ryan Tannehill behind Jerrod Johnson - but apparently the man could recruit football players to play football on the football field.
Sherman really earned his nearly $6 million buyout.
Here is a look at the Aggies drafted in the NFL who were recruited by Sherman, and it's a fairly impressive list:
Mike Evans, WR, 1st Rd, Bucs
Jake Matthews, OT, 1st Rd, Falcons
Johnny Manziel, QB, 1st Rd, Browns
Luke Joeckel, OT, 1st Rd, Jaguars
Christine Michael, RB, 2nd Rd, Seahawks
Damontre Moore, DE, 3rd Rd, Giants
Sean Porter, LB, 4th Rd, Bengals
Ryan Swope, WR, 6th Rd, Cardinals
Ryan Tannehill, QB, 1st Rd, Dolphins
Randy Bullock, PK, 5th Rd, Texans
Cyrus Gray, RB, 6th Rd, Chiefs
Terrence Frederick, DB, 7th Rd, Steelers
Von Miller, LB, 1st Rd, Broncos
How was this team 25-25 under Sherman?
