FW Vaqueros to offer free Luis Suarez fangs

FangsSomewhere the late Bill Veeck noticed the promotion by the Fort Worth Vaqueros minor league soccer team and said, "Wish I had thought of that." Veeck was a pioneer in sports marketing, and known to use any number of stunts to attract fans to games.

The Fort Worth Vaqueros minor league soccer team will be offering free Luis Suarez fangs to the first 50 fans for its match against Dallas City FC at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday night at LaGrave Field.

Thanks to Vaqueros forward Austin Stewart for flashing his Suarez fangs in this selfie.

Suarez made international news  during Uruguay's 1-0 win against Italy on Tuesday, he appeared to (did) bite Italy's Giogio Chiellini. Who said soccer was boring?

Click here to read about this latest installment of True Blood. Apparently, biting is not allowed in futbol. Helps to know the rules. And FIFA is opening a probe into the bite that apparently somehow didn't happen?

Suarez is regarded as one of the finest strikers in the world, and easily one of his sport's best biters. He has had other incidents where he took a bite of opponents because, you know, that's normal. Suarez is expected to be banned for the rest of the tournament.

Regardless, genius promotional idea by the Vaqueros.
