I'm not surprised about this one. I asked Dirk last night after the game if he knew he was a point away from 15,000 for his career.
Dirk: "Who?"
Me: "You."
Dirk: "Really?"
Me: "14,999."
Dirk: "Oh, wow. You know I never really check stuff like that. I really don't care. Stats like that only mean something when your career is over and you see how much points you scored and where you rank or whatever. I guess that's a fun thing to look at, but as of right now I couldn't care less."
As for tweaking his left ankle in the second quarter against Milwaukee, it's nothing new for No. 41. "I should be great on Friday," he said. He received treatment Thursday afternoon.
Here's where Dirk tells you something about his pain tolerence. He adds he'll probably be sore for the next couple weeks and will just have to fight through it, but at the same time expects to be "great" against New York tomorrow.
