Word is the Mavs are bringing in Kevin Willis, 44, for a workout Thursday. The team just wants to see if he can offer any help as a third center during the playoffs. Finding another big man behind Erick Dampier and Gana Diop has been a priority since the season-ending knee injury to DJ Mbenga.
Willis (7-0, 245) last played during the 2004-05 season, starting five games for Atlanta. But he did average 15.5 rebounds a game in 1992. If signed, he would be postseason eligible.
Willis won a world championship with the Spurs in 2003.
