Can a 67-win team one season be considered an underdog the next season? That's the button Avery Johnson is pushing. He's continually said that the team is highly focused heading into the season because they know they're the underdog going into the season. I guess that's what happens after losing in the first round.
"We're just focused right now," Avery said. "We could go 82-0 and we'll probably be an underdog in the first round."
OK, at least Avery admitted it's not like this team will be lucky to make the playoffs.
"We're still a pretty good basketball team last I looked," he said.
