The Mavericks lead 54-53 at halftime, a few notes about the first half:
- Depite finishing the half with 8 points and 5 rebounds, the Mavericks have essentially controlled Pau Gasol. Double teams have him out of rhythm and he isn't getting many open looks.
- Juan Carlos Navarro started out strong but hasn't done much since he finished the second quarter
- When the Grizzlies second unit comes out, the Mavericks need to get read to defend the fast break, because it's coming every time the Grizzlies can muster it.
- Brandon Bass can punish this team. Some extra minutes for him would likely equal success.
- Memphis has absolutely no answer for Josh Howard.
