Before today's NBA games started, the Mavericks ranked first in the league in turnovers with 11.8 per game. Their team leader is Devin Harris with 2.6 per game, which is typical of a team's point guard. He hasn't had too many big turnover games like he did in the first game of the year against Cleveland when he had six.
Just behind the Mavs in turnovers are the Spurs who average 12.0 per game. However, San Antonio's assist-to-turnover ratio is much better at 1.85 compared to the Mavericks' 1.71.
