Some may forget, but the 2004 draft was a big part of tonight's game. Devin Harris, the Mavs' catalyst and offensive lynchpin was selected with the fifth overall pick that the Mavs had acquired from the Washington Wizards. That pick was directly in between two other important young players. The Bulls picked Ben Gordon at No. 3, and Luol Deng was selected at No. 7 by the Bulls, via the Suns' pick they traded for on the day before the draft. They are now the Bulls' two best players and the team's success rests mostly on their two shoulders.
Any thoughts of what the Mavs would look like with one of those two players instead of Devin Harris? Also, what might the Suns be like had they kept the pick and selected Luol Deng?
