Avery Johnson is one of the interviewees featured in the forthcoming film "Black Magic" that airs on ESPN in March. The film tells the story of the injustice that characterized the Civil Rights Movement in America, as told through the lives of basketball players and coaches who attended historically black colleges and universities.
Johnson attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, La.
