I keep saying give Devin Harris time to come into his own. Everyone's in such a hurry to rush to judgement. Hey, buy March, he might sink, but he also might swim.
In Thursday's loss to the Cavaliers, his nine points ended a string of six in a row in double figures and four in a row with 15 or more points.
He started a new streak against the Hawks with 19 even though he was just 4-of-9 from the field. But, look carefully at the stat sheet and you'll see the most important numbers: 10-of-12 at the free throw line.
That means Harris was driving to the basket, one of the most important facets to the Mavs' success. Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry were second on the team with six free throws each.
When Harris is taking the ball strong to the rim, the Mavs are a much better team. And that's not rocket science.
