The Mavericks escaped with a 108-105 victory over the Suns tonight, meaning Phoenix has now beaten San Antonio, San Antonio has beaten Dallas (although the series is 1-1, but the Spurs won the last one) and Dallas has beaten Phoenix.
Steve Nash had a chance to send the game into overtime, but he air balled a three-point shot as time ran out. So Dallas escaped.
The regular season matchups are wonderful. These three teams are like Ali, Frazier and Foreman. They will knock each other around in the regular season and when two of them meet in the playoffs, we can be assured it will be a heavyweight slugfest. This is a great time to be a fan and watch the Mavericks, Suns and Spurs.
