The Mavs didn't have practice on Monday, but Erick Dampier did get his swollen left knee checked. The team announced improvement and that an MRI will not be necessary.
That's good news for the Mavs since Damp was really starting to play his best ball of the season.
Jerry Stackhouse, suffering from a sprained right thumb, was also said to be improving. Stackhouse said Sunday in Minnesota that he expected to be ready for Wednesday's big game against Detroit.
