Avery Johnson went out of his way to compliment the Lakers' bench, going so far as to call it the team's strength.
Just curious if that's not a message to his own bench, which remains unsettled with Devean George really out of the loop, Trenton Hassell just getting in the loop and DeSagana Diop inconsistent.
"The energy that [Ronny] Turiaf and [Jordan] Farmar and all of those guys bring off the bench, we think they help get leads for the Lakers and when they're ahead they keep leads for them," Johnson said. "They're bench is a big key to what they're all about right now."
