With Tony Parker out indefinitely -- Coach Gregg Popovich's orders -- with bone spurs, the Spurs are expected to sign Damon Stoudemire once he clears waivers. That's from a report from the Boston Globe. Stoudemire was really expected to sign with the Celtics, but it appears that Parker's status will keep the former Grizzlies' point guard who was bought out of the rest of his contract this week, in the Western Conference.
The Mavs, with point guard Devin Harris on the shelf, have indicated they weren't interested in adding Stoudemire and that Stoudemire likely wouldn't have been interested in coming to Dallas since Harris is expected to return in two to three weeks.
Meanwhile, the Spurs are hurting in other ways. They lost the Sonics Wednesday night as Seattle's franchise-record losing streak at 14 games. The Spurs have lost three in a row.
