Avery Johnson had no new news on Jerry Stackhouse's right hamstring injury. Stackhouse had an MRI this morning and the results should be known later today before the game.
It's a pretty remote chance that he plays tonight against the Lakers, but Johnson said he doesn't believe the injury is serious.
As for Bass, he took part in shootaround and wants to give it a go. Johnson said he'll be a game-time decision. The Mavs need Bass in this game to defend a player like Ronny Turiaf, who's more or less the same size as Bass and plays just about as much.
"Hopefully at the end of the day he can get back to being where he was before this injury," Johnson said. "He'll be a game time decision tonight. We'll see how he feels and how he continues to progress this afternoon, but seems to be doing much better."
