Dirk Nowitzki missed nearly six minutes in the first quarter when his back tightened and now Josh Howard is out for the remainder of the game. Howard collided with bulky Reggie Evans early in the fourth period while goiing for a rebound and landed on his back. He left and was diagnosed with a bruised lower back. He will not return.
The Mavericks seemed to lose a little life when Howard left. with 4:20 left in the game, they trail the sixers 80-71 and it's obviously not looking good for Dallas.
