And the worst question in the world is . . .

I usually don't criticize media for dumb questions because I have asked more than my fair share. But there is one that is asked at almost every gathering these days and it's getting ridiculous.

The question involves the Western Conference race and it involve this:

"Have you ever seen it this close?"

Or.

"Have you ever seen it like this?"

Since this issue has been covered extensively for the last two months, the answer is: NO!

It has been well documented that the race is the closest ever, that nine teams could win 50 or close to 50 games and one won't make the playoffs. So it stands to reason that it's the closest it's ever been. And to anyone who continues asking that, my question is: If you already know the answer to the question, why keep asking?

So here's Kobe Bryant on the question:

"Do you remember a time like this?" (not my question).

"No, not at all. Every team in the Western Conference is so potent. There’s just not an off night."
