Well, that's depending on how you look at it. The Mavericks defeated Charlotte easily, 118-93. That gives them a 7-5 record since Kidd's arrival. All seven victories have been against teams worse than .500. All five losses have been against teams with records better than .500. But only one of those -- Houston -- was at home and the Mavericks were without the suspended Dirk Nowitzki that night.
So there is an excuse for everything -- wins and losses and we don't know one thing more about this team than we did before the trade.
With the next two games against Indiana here on Friday and in Miami -- with no DWade -- on Sunday, the Mavericks will get two more wins. And then comes the fun -- consecutive home games against the Lakers, Celtics and Spurs.
Then we will know much more.
