Avery Johnson said it's important for the Mavericks to take care of business tonight. Of course, if they do, they'll see the Hornets again either Saturday or Sunday when the first round opens in New Orleans.
"We just need to come out and get this two-game losing taste out of our mouths," Johnson said. "The last game we finished here was a pretty dramatic game [a 97-94 win against Utah], so it's good to try to keep that home feeling going that we have here recently.
"This is another team that's above .500, this is a team that's been pretty consistent this whole year, could easily be a one-seed with the type of year that they've had."
Remember the Mavs started 0-10 with Jason Kidd against teams with winning records. But entering tonight they've won three of four, beating the Warriors, Suns and Jazz, while losing to the Lakers.
