The NBA has reviewed the flagrant 2 foul on Jason Kidd and has determined that Kidd's takedown of Jannero Pargo in the fourth quarter of Game 4 is not sufficient reason for Kidd to be suspended. NBA spokesman Tim Frank said there would be no suspension and that Kidd will play in Game 5 tomorrow.

I'm glad Jason Kidd will not be suspended for Game 5 of their playoff game with New Orleans; however, why was Dirk suspended for his foul in Utah? Wasn't Dirk's foul a flagrant 1? Who and what determines the punishment of such fouls?

He should have been suspended. He grabbed his head, and risked the health of the player. It's a no-brainer. NBA politics.
