As much as teams like to hang back on Jason Kidd and dare him to shoot the three, the same can be said of Chris Paul. And, since Kidd is obviously not as quick as Paul, it behooves him to hang back a little bit in anticipation of Paul's driving. Kidd shot the three well in the Mavs last game against the Hornets because of that extra space (and some streakiness) and the Mavs already dared Paul to shoot a three tonight (which he missed).
Paul shot 35 percent from three-point range this season while Kidd was a 46 percent three shooter (in his 29 games with the Mavs).
