On the lineup change with Terry and the defensive
switches: Jason [Terry] brings a lot of energy. He's probably their
biggest energy guy. We knew they were going to do something different.
I was thinking even Brandon Bass might start. I wasn't surprised by the
change, and I wasn't surprised defensively what they did with CP,
trying to keep him out of the paint. It's just a lot of our guys making
shots, that's the bottom line.
On the possibility of sweeping: I said this before the playoffs even
started, in the Western Conference, there won't be any sweeps. In the
Western Conference, teams are just too good, one through eight. I'll be
very surprised if there are any sweeps. They're all going to go six or
seven games.
On how the Mavs came out to start the game: They just outworked us.
They were more physical and more aggressive. They outworked us.
On a pressure change/swing in momentum: There's pressure on both teams.
Momentum-wise, yeah, they probably have a little bit more momentum now
shifted their way because of the win tonight. But pressure is on both
teams. I know they don't want to go back to New Orleans down 3-1. To be
honest with you, we'd rather not go back tied at two apiece. There's
pressure on both teams for Game 4. Hopefully, we'll come out and match
their intensity. And if we do, it's going to be a great game.
On Dirk: Dirk played great. That's why he's an All-Star, that's why
he's a former MVP. He was big tonight on both ends, rebounding, making
shots. You could tell from the start that he was really into it. ...
He's a warrior. He comes to play every night.
