The Mavericks were never going to get into the top 10 or the lottery, but if they want to get in late in the first round, $3 million will probably do the trick...Just before the draft, Mavs president Donnie Nelson said they have a few "trigger points" staked out, meaning if a player they like slips into the mid- to late 20s, the Mavs will do what they can to deal.
