The Mavs trimmed their roster by three on Wednesday. To no surprise, rookies Reyshawn Terry, JaJuan Smith and Cheyne Gadson were cut, leaving the Mavs with 15 players, 14 signed to guaranteed contracts.
The wild card is journeyman point guard Keith McLeod, who's been hampered with a right hamstring injury and has yet to play in the preseason. He's doubtful for Thursday's preseason finale against Indiana. The Mavs could use insurance at point guard and they'd like to give him a chance to secure the 15th spot. But, McLeod will have to get healthy soon.
"We have 15 for now," coach Rick Carlisle said.
