Break out the pom-poms once again, Dirk Nowitzki was named the NBA's Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday, winning the award for the second time in three weeks. He averaged 30.7 points and 10.0 rebounds in leading the Mavs to a 3-0 record.
But, really, shouldn't J.J. Barea be receiving the award? All he did was score 15, 18 and 22 points in the three games, but not only score he was often the catalyst in the wins, especially in the win over the Hawks Saturday night.
