Avery Johnson, fired as Mavericks coach after last season,turned down a chance to be the new coach of the Memphis Grizzlies, ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports. The Grizzlies fired coach Marc Iavaroni on Thursday. ESPN reports that Lionel Hollins will be announced as Iavaronni's successor.
Johnson is in his first year as a studio analyst for ESPN.
