Brandon Bass, who seems to be improving his status with the Dallas Mavericks lately, was one of 16 players selected to the LSU All-Century team, announced Saturday as part of the LSU Basketball 100th Anniversary celebration.
Bass played only two seasons at LSU, leaving for the NBA after the 2004-05 season when he was chosen the SEC Player of the Year.
He's one of four current NBA players picked for the All-LSU team, joining Shaquille O'Neal, Stromile Swift and Glen "Big Baby" Davis.
It's a pretty darned good LSU team when you figure a starting five of Bob Pettit, Shaq, Pistol Pete Maravich, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (who was Chris Jackson when he was a Tiger) and, say, Big Baby. And, yes, the coach would be dynamic Dale Brown.
