Mark Cuban made a mistake.
Yes, it's true. Talking to reporters before last night's game, the Mavericks owner made it clear he has no regrets about the Devin Harris-Jason Kidd trade. After fielding about five of those questions in a row, he apparently felt compelled to give an example of where he has erred.
"Look, the only mistake we made so far was using our mid-level exception, and that was my mistake,'' Cuban said. "Nothing against 'Gana (DeSagana Diop), but I had said we would not use it then we did, and that was our mistake. My mistake.''
The Mavericks used their mid-level exception on Diop, then turned around last month and traded him to Charlotte for Matt Carroll and Ryan Hollins.
