The Mavericks just got three points on perhaps their worst possession of the game.
They fumbled the ball for 20 seconds of the shot clock, with Antoine Wright finally heaving a long, desperation 3-pointer as the shot clock expired. It missed, but Brandon Bass tipped out the rebound.
Somehow, the ball found its way to J.J. Barea in the corner after Wright and Jason Kidd could have been called for offensive fouls.
Barea nailed a 3-pointer.
The Mavericks now are down just 76-71. They'll need slightly better execution the rest of the way if they want to complete the comeback.
