So, where do the Mavericks put their defensive focus?
"They really put pressure on you both ways,'' coach Rick Carlisle said. "It's very difficult. We want to play Howard straight up as much as possible, but he's a load in there. When you help on him, they've got snipers on the outside.
"It's tough. You've got to try to do both, limit Howard and take away the open looks. It means you have to have great activity defensively and have to be efficient offensively.''
