The Mavericks' furious comeback was met head on by Russell Westbrook. Dirk Nowitzki led a 16-0 Maverick burst to go up 91-87.
Then Westbrook scored five points on one possession, including a 3-pointer with 17 seconds left to tie it.
Both James Singleton and Josh Howard were stripped of the ball in the final seconds, forcing overtime.
The Mavericks are playing with fire.
