Nothing like watching the game from the hockey box. Up here, the Kings look like a legitimate NBA team, although I expect that to be changing shortly. I would like to say that the excitement in the arena is palpable, but that would be either a joke or a lie.
It's going to take every vocal chord the bellowing PA announcer has tonight to keep the crowd from snoring, but I'm sure he's up to it. With a 12-44 record, the Kings are the worst team in the NBA and they have to hope for lottery luck and Blake Griffin because they have done a marvelous job of assembling little talent.
The Mavericks enjoy their company, however. This is the second time in 11 days the Kings have visited. The Mavericks won by 18 the first time and the regulars got to rest. I'm sure that is the goal again tonight.
