Rick Carlisle was asked before the game if Mark Cuban's comments criticizing the team for its lack of effort in Oklahoma City might have an effect on the players.

"Whether Mark had made comments or not, our players have pride," Carlisle said. "I know they were diswappointed [by the Oklahoma City game]. When we've gotten beaten badly or had a disappointing type of game, they've always been anxious to get back out there."

The fans were clearly excited at tipoff tonight, no doubt circling the wagons with the players. After about six minutes the Spurs are ahead 15-11, so we shall see.
