I can't guarantee which team wins tonight's game between the Mavericks and Toronto Raptors. But I can offer this assurance.
Both teams will make at least one 3-pointer.
The Raptors have hit a 3-pointer in an NBA record 838 consecutive games. The Mavericks are right behind at 832. You have to go back to the first three months of 1999 to find when they didn't.
The Mavericks and Raptors incorporated the 3-pointer into their game plan when other teams still viewed it as nothing more than a bailout option. They were ahead of the curve. Now, nearly one out of every four shots taken in the league is from 3-point range.
