The Mavericks start four games in five nights with tonight's visit by Chris Bosh and the Toronto Raptors to AAC.
Just about everybody in the house will be watching Bosh and envisioning what he'd look like in a Mavericks' uniform, which could conceivably happen in 2010 when Bosh is a free agent and the Mavericks expect to have plenty of cash to throw at him - or somebody else, perhaps.
"He's a great player,'' coach Rick Carlisle said after this morning's shootaround. "He can post, rebound shoot threes, shoot mid-range - just a monster matchup. As always with great players, our whole team is going to have to react to what he's doing.''
Bosh has been back for four games since sustaining a right knee injury. He's been helped by the addition of Shawn Marion before the trading deadline.
"Since the trade, their scoring is up significantly, 12 points a game,'' Carlisle said. "Their turnovers are down. Their record is better. It's just a more energetic up and down game.
"He (Marion) has a size advantage and is one of the best rebounders we've seen pound for pound in the last two decades. When he bumps over to power forward, he's got incredible speed. You're dealing with problems either way.''
Some would say Jason Kidd is in the running for that best pound-for-pound rebounder designation.
