The Mavericks just had their shootaround. Erick Dampier reports he's a little sore in the back and neck from his fall in New Orleans, but will start.
The big topic was not allowing Washington to hang around tonight. The Mavericks are playing a Wizards team that was drilled Friday night in San Antonio and has the second-worst record in the league.
"Why would we want to give this team confidence and make it a dogfight,'' said Jason Terry. "We need to jump on this team quick and early.''
As Rick Carlisle added: "Washington has had a down year, but they got enough talent to beat you. We got to make sure we play our game as well as we can and not leave anything to chance.''
They will have to do it without Josh Howard, who was at the doctor Saturday to get further examination of his left foot.
"It's going to be tough, but as least we've done it before,'' said Terry. "Devean George is ready to step up. Gerald Green is ready to step up. It's all about the fight in us. How much do we have? I think we got a lot.''
Expect George to be in the starting lineup tonight.
