Kenyon Martin is not pleased that Mavericks' owner Mark Cuban exchanged words with Martin's mother after Game 3. And he vowed at shootaround this morning to "take care of it.''
Martin said he did not want to get into a back-and-forth war of words with Cuban through the media. But he was intending to talk to Cuban at some point today.<[> He also said he was offended by the situation.
"Oh, hell yeah,'' Martin said. "That's just like saying something to my kids. If you got something to say, say it to me. But I'm going to take care of it. I'm not going to do the whole media thing, back and forth. That's his thing. I'm more of a personal, face-to-face type of dude.
"Whenever the opportunity presents itself, then I will address it. But we got a game to go win. At some point I will, but I got a game to go win first and foremost. That's my focus and concentration right now.''
According to reports, Cuban was yelling disparaging remarks about the Nuggets, then turned to Martin's mother, who was in the stands near the portal that Cuban uses to exit the court and said "that includes your son.'''
Cuban did not wish to respond to Martin's comments.
Asked if he thought Cuban was trying to divert attention from the series that has slipped away from the Mavericks, who are down 3-0 and face possible elimination tonight in Game 4, Martin said:
"That's what he's trying to do, but it ain't going to work. We're going to focus on what we need to do as a team. That's what I'm here to do. But if other things present themselves along the way, you got to address it. And this is one those situations.''

Here is what WFAA/Channel 8 posted about Mark Cuban's response to a report that Cuban "shoved" a photographer.
According to The Associated Press, "NBA spokesman Tim Frank said Sunday that the league was still reviewing the postgame scene on the court, when Dallas' Josh Howard and team owner Mark Cuban were among those visibly upset."

Thanks Cuban!!! That's all we needed to do...give the Nuggets motivation. But it's not like they needed it. The Mavs are a bunch of soft losers. Cuban lost this series when he failed to sign Nash and Finley.
