Game 4 issue in the stands

Hey folks,

For the few out there who haven't already gotten enough of the whole Mavericks-Nuggets drama, here's this story and clip from KDFW/Fox 4 that shows Carmelo Anthony's girlfriend being escorted from the stands on Monday night.

Also, Mark Cuban apologized to Kenyon Martin and his mother on his blog, http://blogmaverick.com/, for the post-Game 3 events.

Carlisle headed to Daly's funeral

The Mavericks will have a film session early Tuesday before the team flies to Denver for Game 5.

Coach Rick Carlisle will go another direction, however, heading to the northeast for the funeral of longtime coach and close friend Chuck Daly.

Carlisle will be a pall bearer.

He then will rejoin the team early Wednesday in Denver.

When in doubt, give it to Dirk

Yeah, I know I'm getting repetitive here but it's amazing to watch this guy. Everyone else willy-nilly, the calm big man hits the shot to tie it once again, 110-110, with 2:44 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Warriors at work

Carmelo Anthony with 36, Dirk Nowitzki with 32 at the 6:07 mark... these two have been fabulous to watch.

On the bad side (for the Mavs), Antoine Wright gets called for a foul (and a very questionable one at that), and a technical. Nuggets up 102-100.

Crazy little back and forth, ay? JR Smith can thank his lucky stars on that shot, but Brandon Bass was playing with fire with his foul on the other end. Got to be smart at this juncture.

Erick Dampier fouls out at the 10:30 mark of the fourth quarter... we'll see how that affects the Mavericks.

J.J. Barea drove for a layup to tie it at 85-all with 35 seconds left in the third quarter. The Mavs may be going, but they're not going quietly.

Four-Point Play

The Nuggets had opened the lead back up to 9 at 82-73 when Dirk drove the baseline for a layup, drew a foul from Linas Kleiza, who also picked up a technical on the play. Dirk knocked down both free throws to trim it to 82-77 with 3:35 to play in the third quarter.
