Point guard Curtis Jerrells, who as a senior this season led Baylor to the NIT championship game, has been offered a spot on the Mavericks' summer league team.
President Donnie Nelson confirmed that the 6-1 Jerrells will be on the summer roster unless he has a more attractive offer from another NBA team. Jerrells was not chosen in Thursday's NBA draft, making him a rookie free agent.
In addition, the Mavericks also are hoping to have 26-year-old Aaron Miles on the summer team. Miles, also a point guard, played briefly with Golden State in 2006 and spent the past season in Europe.
