First-round draft pick Roddy Beaubois has signed his rookie contract with the Mavericks, which will pay him about $1.1 million next season.
He's now set to take part in the summer league. The team had its first practice today at AAC and will head out to Las Vegas on Thursday. The games start Friday.
By the way, Beaubois said his name is Rodrigue, but that he's been bestowed with the nickname "Roddy.''
He said it's fine, even though nobody has ever called him that before he got to Dallas. Hey, it's all about the nickname, right.
