Best news about Bass signing

In all likelihood, Brandon Bass going to Orlando means there is no way the Magic matches the Mavericks' offer sheet for Marcin Gortat.

It would push the Magic way into luxury-tax territory for a backup, albeit a backup with huge potential.

So the Mavericks have picked up the best center, the best point guard and one of the best forwards available in free agency already this summer.

That would be Gortat, Jason Kidd and Shawn Marion.
