Marion getting closer and closer

The labor pains are coming a little closer together in the Mavericks' pursuit to acquire Shawn Marion.

It was known that the Mavericks and Toronto were trying to recruit a third team. Either Memphis or Oklahoma City makes sense and ESPN has said it's Memphis.

Fine.

But the situation has crept along at such a slow rate it's likely to take another day or so to complete.

To save you reading the entire chat from earlier today, I can tell you that Mark Cuban is excited about the prospects of this happening. He said this morning that the deal was pretty darn close.

Of course, we all know that means there's still a long way to go because those last details can be the hardest.
