Kidd, the new sharpshooter

Jason Kidd has 18 points with 2:52 to go in the third quarter. That's one off of his season high.

He's also got 10 assists and four rebounds, but it's his 7-of-13 shooting that's got everybody buzzing at AAC.

The Mavericks have needed every bit of Kidd's offensive punch because they are clinging to a 73-66 lead that has been as big as 17 but hovered mostly around 10 points.

We all know what can happen when you let a bad team hang around long enough.
