Mavs get a lift

Josh Howard has come off the bench to do a pretty fair Jason Terry impersonation.

He's dropped in four quick points and Drew Gooden also has popped in four off the bench as the Mavericks have punched out to a 30-23 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Jason Kidd also added a 3-pointer, which gives him 1,544 for his career. He went past Tim Hardaway for No. 7 on the all time list. He needs three more to pass Eddie Jones for sixth all time.
