So as I'm taking trains and what seemed like planes considering the way the cabbie flew to quaint little Columbia University for the shootaround, I couldn't help notice a sign that some dude on the corner was holding up.
Parking: $8:50, first 20 minutes.
Twenty minutes? It takes that long in Texas to walk from your car to the front of the parking lot.
Good thing I didn't pick up the rent car until it was time to drive to The Meadowlands.
As a local has since told me, New Yorkers apparently will reach into your pocket for eight bucks for just about anything.
