The Sacramento Kings come into tonight's game with the Mavericks after a heart-wrenching loss Friday night to the Lakers in Los Angeles.
Kobe Bryant - yes, Kobe Bleeping Bryant, who else? - nailed a 3-pointer at the buzzer to beat the Kings 109-108. It was the second time in six days the Kings had lost to the Lakers after being in control most of the game.
They led by 20 on Friday and had a two-point lead and Ime Udoka shooting two free throws with 4.8 seconds left.
Make one and the worst that could happen is overtime. Make two and the game's over.
He made none.
And so, the Kings will be extremely ticked off tonight, and probably a little fatigued at some point in the game, although super rookie Tyreke Evans was held out against the Lakers in deference to a sprained right ankle. Evans said he is going to play in tonight's game.
