The Mavericks have built a 59-53 halftime lead over Milwaukee at the AAC
tonight despite a red-hot first half from Bucks center Andrew Bogut.
Bogut, who has given the Mavs fits in the past, is 9-for-9
from the field and 2-for-2 from the free throw line in the first half for 20
points. Mavs center Erick Dampier, returning from a left knee injury, hasn't
been able to slow Bogut. He's made every shot, twisting and turning and fading
and hooking. Whatever, it's gone in.
Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Marion lead the Mavericks at
halftime with 10 points each. Jason Terry has nine at the break.
The Mavs got some quality minutes from Rodrigue Beaubois,
Drew Gooden and J.J. Barea in the second quarter.
Nowitzki tied Brad Davis tonight for the most games played
in Mavericks history with 883.
Don and Linda Carter, the original owners of the Mavericks,
are sitting courtside tonight celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
