Kevin Durant will be assistant coach for the Rookie team this evening, and Durant, who played for the rookie squad at last year's All-Star game, was looking forward to the chance to mentor.
Although it might be a little odd.
"Some of these guys are older than me," Durant said. "I'll just try to be a good support system."
Durant was just looking forward to the fun of the night. Denver's Adrian Dantley, who's coaching the Rookies, reminded us all that they're trying to win, too.
The Rookies haven't beaten the Sophomores since 2003 (132-112). They lost to the Sophomores 122-116 last year.
