If it weren't for that gigantic TV screen, Cowboys Stadium would be no different than Reliant Stadium in Houston, which is a perfectly good venue for watching sports, by the way.
You have to give credit to Jerry Jones. He saw an opportunity to be different with the huge video board and it captured the fancy of fans, who truly embrace the idea of everything being bigger in Texas.
Actually, Cowboys Stadium is OK, if you have a golf cart to get from place to place or a good pair of sneakers to take a long hike to get wherever you want to be. Otherwise, it's just another stadium. Or on this day, just another gym with 10-foot rims and a foul line 15 feet away.
Don't get me wrong. It's a great playpen. But it is not THE star of this evening. That honor should go to the players.
OK, that's the end of the rant from an old geezer who clearly isn't impressed by much anymore.
