It took a run-in with Atlanta coach Mike Woodson (literally) and some unreal play by Jason Kidd and Dirk Nowitzki, but the Mavericks' winning streak is alive and kicking, at least for a five-minute overtime period.
Jason Kidd knocked in a 3-pointer with 56.4 seconds left that put the Mavericks up by two, and when Josh Smith put in a follow shot, overtime beckoned with the score tied at 99.
Dirk Nowitzki and Kidd both missed jumpers in the final seconds.
Kidd has been incredible. He had 11 points, eight rebounds and seven assists -- in the fourth quarter alone.
He's got 19 points, 16 assists and 12 rebounds overall.
